Bank of Taiwan Sustainability Charity Fair Invites the Public to 「Green go Life」 to Co-Create a Greener and More Inclusive Future
To advance sustainable finance and deepen social care, Bank of Taiwan held the 「Bank of Taiwan 2025 Sustainability Charity Fair – ‘Green Go Life’」 on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Huashan Theater, in Taipei Huashan 1914 Creative Park. By integrating charity sales, a charity fair, themed interactive experiences, and stage performances, the event called on the public to actively engage in environmental protection and charitable action, joining hands to build a more inclusive, environmentally friendly, and sustainable way of life.
Employees from Bank of Taiwan’s headquarters and branches enthusiastically participated, donating gently used or brand-new items from their homes. Executives across all units also took part in the charity sales, putting into practice the principles of maximizing resource value and sharing for collective benefit. LING, JONG-YUAN, Chairperson of Taiwan Financial Holdings and Bank of Taiwan, demonstrated strong leadership and commitment by personally donating treasured porcelain, a tea set created by a renowned artist, and an elegant ballpoint pen gift set. Other senior executives contributed a diverse range of charity items, including premium high-mountain tea and practical household appliances, leading by example and inspiring broad participation throughout the organization. Through this initiative, pre-owned items were recirculated and given renewed value, extending their lifecycles while reinforcing the spirit of resource circulation and sharing. The charity fair raised a total of NT$3.35 million, with Chairperson LING, JONG-YUAN and president WU, CHIA-HSIAO representing the bank in donating all proceeds to four social welfare organizations. This meaningful action transformed goodwill into tangible social impact, providing concrete and sustained support for disadvantaged communities.
Anchored in the core themes of sustainability and social care, the charity fair conveyed practical approaches to sustainable living through a wide array of interactive booths addressing everyday dimensions of life, including food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, and leisure. By combining charity sales with interactive challenge activities, the event was both engaging and educational, serving as a hands-on demonstration of sustainable living and creating an experiential space where learning and action came together. The stage program was vibrant and diverse, featuring environmental percussion performances, nature-inspired soundscapes, children’s dance performances, Starry Prince Band, sharing sessions with public figures, handpan music, and live singing, energizing the atmosphere throughout the day. In addition, the event invited the Children Are Us Foundation, the Down Syndrome Foundation R.O.C, and the New Taipei City Autism Association to host charity booths selling products from sheltered workshops. Through meaningful interaction, these booths highlighted the capabilities, life stories, and achievements of sheltered workers, enhancing social participation while promoting the values of inclusion, dignity, and care.
Chairperson Ling remarked that the Sustainability Charity Fair demonstrated the shared commitment of Bank of Taiwan employees and the public to sustainable principles. She encouraged integration of green actions into everyday life while continuing to extend care to vulnerable groups. Bank of Taiwan’s sustainability efforts have been consistently recognized, most recently receiving the Excellence Award at the 2025 BSI ESG Sustainability Awards and three major honors at the 2025 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards, spanning areas such as gender equality, social inclusion, and age-friendly initiatives.
